Sweet and Spicy Pecans
Ingredients
- 6 tbsp (90 ml) vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) nutmeg
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) allspice
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) Domaine Pinnacle Ice Cider
- 2 tsp (10 ml) maple syrup
- 2 cups (500 ml) pecans
- Salt optional
Preparation
Heat the oil slowly, add the nutmeg, allspice and ice cider. Let simmer 5 minutes. Add maple syrup. Remove from heat and add nuts. Stir until mixture is well absorbed. Spread the pecans on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Place in a 300ºF (150ºC), turn oven off and let nuts dry completely. Add salt to taste. Store in an airtight jar.
